Organisations that we supported with our Raise Impact Crowdfunding Accelerator have raised more than half a million pounds.

In April and May 2015, we held two Raise Impact Crowdfunding Accelerators. The goal was to support at least 20 social-purpose SMEs to learn how to crowdfund successfully, and to have at least 5 of them raise funds after attending. In total, we supported over 30 SMEs with free crowdfunding training, support and mentoring.

In the 6 months since we ran the programme, 9 companies decided crowdfunding was right for them and ran a campaign. 8 of these successfully raised more than £500,000, with 7 beating their target – which is fantastic!

89% of our graduates that ran a campaign succeeded in raising money, which greatly exceeds the average crowdfunding campaign success rates, that range between 10% and 50%, depending on the platforms used.

For us, this is just the start. Our next crowdfunding accelerator, starting in November 2015, is focussing on supporting clean technology entrepreneurs. As well as supporting newer ideas, we’ll be helping ambitious cleantech entrepreneurs master equity crowdfunding. We want to help them attract investment so that they can scale and grow organisations working to combat environmental issues such as climate change and resource scarcity.

We’ll be working with the best crowdfunding and cleantech expertise in the UK. As with our previous crowdfunding accelerator, we’ve partnered with the UK Crowdfunding Association.

“Raise Impact presents a unique opportunity to gain access to the top talent in the UK crowdfunding sector, to ensure that the entrepreneurs are prepared for success”

Julia Groves, Founding Chair of the UKCFA, and major contributor to the programme.

If you’re a cleantech entrepreneur, I’d like to invite you to apply now to our next crowdfunding accelerator here

If you are not a cleantech entrepreneur, but you are interested in crowdfunding support, leave your details here.  We’ll get back to you when we run our next open crowdfunding support programmes.
